What is a Radler?
The word Radler itself comes from the German word for "cyclist/biker"
The birth of the original Radler
The original Radler is a refreshing blend of beer and lemonade - containing less alcohol than most beers - making it an ideal after-sport thirst quencher. At least this is how it all started back in 1922:
During the great cycling boom in the 1920s, German restaurant owner Franz Kugler created a bicycle trail leading all the way from from Munich directly to his bar, bypassing a forest. On the opening day of the trail, he got caught by surprise as more bikers took the trail and showed up very thirsty at his place then he had beer for them. Franz was a smart man and took the fast and (retrospectively seen historical) decision to just stretch the beer with lemonade so he could serve more thirsty cyclists. This was the birth of the Radler!
The Radler Brewing Co is innovating Franz' concept by bringing the first (we are aware of) entirely brewed Radler to the market - no blend of beer with regular lemonade but an entirely brewed thirst quencher - the output of true brewing craftmanship is bottled into our cans. No fake ingredients, no chemicals, no preservatives or artificial colourants.
Instead only organic ingredients, locally sourced as much as possible, are used to create our products. A better choice and a very delicious one!
The Radler is to be enjoyed chilled. Add ice cubes in case your Radler doesn't come straight of the fridge or cooler.
